mole check

hi, last week i went to the dermatologist for a small rash and a mole check. i have fair skin and many moles and am in my mid 40's .i stripped to my bra and panties and she looked at my moles pretty quickly and said everything looked fine. my co worker goes to the same doctor and she told me her mole check used a bright light and a magnifying glass. she is ten years older and has a dark tan. should i be concerned my exam wasnt complete?

thank you. i just thought it was odd that they gave her a more complete exam and was feeling neglected. my friend thought she was very professional but with me she kept laughing and slapping my arm.

Hello,
Melanoma has an irregular border, is asymmetrical, uneven color and increasing in size. So the dermatologist must have seen that you don’t have any such mole. If you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
