Face skin chemical burn from nair

I used Nair on my face it says on the bottle i could just not near the eye and i developed burns that turned out to be skin discoloration on my face so the pigment is damaged and cannot tan. I have had this for 5 months and all the creams I've used does not help me get back my color. Is there anything I can do , I also booked an appointment with a dermatologist but that's in 2 weeks and i really want to know what kind of treatments there are for this and what I can do to make the problem better, I'm really worried because I haven't been going out because it brings my confidence down having this problem.

Hello,
Laser resurfacing has shown some results in such cases.I would suggest you to consult a cosmetologist/dermatologist and discuss this possibility with him.
Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have additional queries. Kind regards.

Is there any treatments that a dermatologist might do to treat this problem. I don't want to go in and have them tell me I need more sun or tell me nothing can be done I've had this for a long time and I really want to have my skin treated and going back to normal :( I've lost hope now.

Hello,
Due to the use of chemical irritant, you had irritant contact dermatitis and it has caused postinflammatory hypopigmentation. It presents as poorly defined whitening of the skin which is irregular in outline. Often the loss of pigment is partial rather than complete.

There is very little that can be done although with sun exposure the white areas should eventually repigment unless scarring has occurred.

I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
