scabies

hi, My daughtr has 2 0r 3 itchy spots on sole  one foot, just where arch meets ball under toes. She has scratched these and broken the skin.   Otherwise these have not altered and have definitely not spread to anywhere else, in 4 days, or so.  Her friend has been diagnosed with ;scabies; which in her case has spread on parts of her body and is applying external cream.    Is 'scabies' similar to what was called 'the itch'?   Do you think my daughter has scabies, and why on the sole of her foot.

Hello,
Since your daughter’s friend is having scabies,so you need to get your daughter checked for that.The other possibilities are contact dermatitis and fungal infection.

Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

Pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

Tons of people have this at the moment.People believe its scabies until the treatments dont work.Its sometimes called "black pepper mites"....research it!
