white flaky patches with red border

Hello,

I am 10 weeks pregnant and about 3 weeks ago I developed a few white flaky patches on my upper arms with a bit a of a red boarder. However, after I take a shower the patches are red for alittle while. They are not itchy but flaky and rough to the touch. there are about 4 to five total and they vary from the size of a dime to one being about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

Does anyone know if this is due to my hormonal changes since I have never had this before? Or should I be concerned?

I've recently had some patches like that develop (and start to develop).  I'm not pregnant (haha, hopefully not), but it was suggested to me that mine was psoriasis (not a lovely suggestion).

whoops. Sorry. Meant to link you to the main page.  That has nothing to do with psoriasis coming on while pregnant. Sorry.

I was thinking maybe Guttate Psoriasis, but the ones pictures aren't white with a red/pink border like the ones I have and the ones you described.

one last thing. have you considered a Tinea infection like Ringworm? A few photos on google image search (the less gross ones) are somewhat similar to the spot i have
