I'm sure that MLZ meant to say that ...

One home blood sugar test does *not* make a diagnosis.

As MLZ pointed out, a doctor can make a diagnosis based on the type of blood test they can do.

Hi Pink,
I'm sure the JDF volunteer will tell you the same thing, but yes, you can check your blood sugar level with the machine you have, but you really will NOT know for sure until you get to the doctor and have all the official blood work done. One ***** of the blood tester does make a diagnosis. Sorry. Get in to a doctor so you can get these symptoms diagnosed.
Good luck! Hope it passes quickly for you.

Iam not a dctorr but the mom of a type 1 diabetic. I would suggest that if you thingk you might have diabetes , see you doctor as soon as possible,.Tell your doctor all that  you are feeling . He/ she will reun several blood test and be able to tell you if you have diabetes or not.   If you do i would suggest you see an endocronologist, which is a doctor that specializes in the care and treatment of diabetes
