Urinary Problems for 10 days now..please help

Hi, I went to urologist this morning bc I've been having burning sensation when urinating, frequent urination, and irritation/pain at the tip if my penis. I have diabetes but it's usually well managed. My urine test showed my glucose is 250 in the urine, but my sugar checks are usually in range 2 hours after I eat. Can this high glucose in urine cause these problems I'm having for the last 10 days? I've been on doxycycline for the last 6 days, but it's not helping at all. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

What are you taking doxycycline for?  Since you already have diabetes, you know your urine count being high is something to talk to your doctor about.  Diabetic neuropathy can affect your genitals. I'd guess your issues though are more related to whatever you are taking doxy for if your diabetes is well managed (although your high urine numbers is confusing. Check with your doctor about that).

Taking doxy to clear up some mild sinus congestion. I don't have neuropathy bc my diabetes is managed pretty good, but would this dugsr in my urine cause frequent urination and burning when urinating for 10 days so far? When do these things clear up? Thank you.
*sugar in urine (sorry for above typo)
What does your doctor say? It doesn't sound like your well managed if your urine sugar is that high.
My finger checks are in range about 95% of the time. With these good finger checks, would the 250 glucose in urine still cause these problems? I also did a quick uti test from the pharmacy which was negative. Does that mean I can still have these urinary problems from sugar right now?
Have you asked your doctor about the discrepancy related to your sugar checks?
Your information is conflicting and a bit confusing. See your doctor for follow up.  https://www.healthline.com/health/frequent-urination-diabetes
