I agree with zoelula that I get very irritable and cranky more so when I have high sugars than low and if your friend is dizzy her sugars are likely high.  My poor husband and son take the brunt of it but I try to remind them that it is not them but my blood sugars and then I take more insulin to bring down my sugar if the reading is high

That is most likely the case, but some people also have moods when they are very high. What is important to find out is if your friend tests regularly and if she herself knows when she is too high or too low. Then ask her what she would like you to do for her if she is having a problem. If she gets this way when she is low then perhaps she will want you to suggest (gently) she test her blood sugar and then encourage her to use whatever she usually uses for lows, some people use juice some use glucose tabs. If she is unconscious, however, NEVER try and force anything down her mouth as she could choke. If you can't rouse her, call 911. What is important is that you ask HER when she is NOT feeling this way what she would like you to do when she is. All diabetics are different and we like to be in control of our own management or have people assist in a way that works for us. If she gets agitated, then you can remind her, "remember that conversation we had about when you get low?"

She is in a low when she is lashing out at you and can get very mean.  she needs juice any kind just get it to her fast . have her check her sugars before if she will let you after if she comes to.  It can be a struggle with having to learn how to take care of yourself with this illness, you need to b e there and help  with this issue.
