Master Cleanse

Has anyone else tried the Master Cleanse?

I am on day 17 and have lost over two stone. My blood sugar has normalised and I had to stop taking the Metformin and just feel amazing. The weight is coming off at a rate of about two pounds per day and I am so pleased. I have exercised and eaten 'sensibly' to normalize my blood sugars but it seemed like a losing battle until the master cleanse came into my life and now I feel transformed and have so much energy it is like a wonderful dream. Diabetics have to take Black strap molasses instead of maple sugar but apart from that it is the same.

Any other success stories?

It's really not a safe cleanse to be on at all. Especially if you are only doing the molasses or maple syrup with the other ingredients. It can really mess wtih your blood sugars. If your eating as well, be very cautions, but at least your eating.

I tried Master Cleanse a few years ago, and over a period of 3 months I lost a total of 50 pounds. I didn't do the cleanse continuously for 3 months but rather alternated between the Master Cleanse and a reduced-calorie diet. Even though my daily caloric intake was greatly reduced (as you can imagine), and there were times I "felt" hungry and just had mental desires to eat a huge juicy steak, I always had energy and felt good, and the longer I did the cleanse I actually felt much more "pure", as though I could actually feel my body being relieved of built-up toxins. I supplemented the cleanse process with multi-vitamins to ensure my body was maintaining a high level of nutrients to balance out the reduced calorie amount of the cleanse formula.

I can't really say anything negative about my experience with it, although some people complain of side-effects due to them not receiving the full nutrition their body needs.
