Vaginal Rash

QKD
I was classified with type 2 diabetes about a year ago. Since then I get these vaginal rashes that my V.A. doctor keeps classifying as yeast infections. She prescribed me doxycycline and that did not help. She prescribed an antibiotic where there are 2 pills which you take 1 every 72 hours...that helped but within a few days it is back again. This time she prescribed sulfamethoxazole-tmp and that has done nothing. This rash appears as raw circles on the inside of my vaginal lips and it itches like hell and because I have vaginal hair it is sore. Any clue what this could be?

If your getting yeast infections it means your sugars are very high and not controlled.

How are your BG numbers and A1c.  High BG causes yeast infections (yeast loves high BG).

Hi there
Just to let you know that this is a prolapse forum, so I have asked for you to have your question moved to a forum that may help you better with this.
Have you asked your Dr to do a culture to find out what type of yeast growth you have?  This could help to find the best treatment for you.
It may be time for you to consider asking questions as I am sure this is very difficult to live with day to day, plus you need to have an effective treatment.
Thank you
