Hi,
Your blood sugars are still very high.
Maximum daily dose of metformin is 2650 mg, I understand. So you are well below this still.
Suggest you take efforts to further reduce your blood sugars.
normal fasting should be in the range of about 4.4 - 5.2.
2 hours post eating should be less than 7.7 and ideally less than 6.6 (or close to fasting levels).
Low carb diet may help greatly with reducing post eating blood sugars (look into low carb / ketogenic / paleo-style). Exercise after eating may also help to lower blood sugars.
You may need to approach your doctor about another medication to get sugars under better control, if you can't do this with diet and exercise and metformin alone..
I take 2000 mg METFORMIN and a dose of insulin as well
Max does of metformin is 2500 mg/day
2250 for Metformin ER
your BG numbers are still high so no not to much met. You may need other medication as met will not help lowering the 12 after eating. (after eating BG should not be above 7.78)
