please help me!!!

does anyone know where i can get my test strips for free? i need to be on my insulin but if i cant get my strips i will have to go off of it..dont want to cuz my last a1c was 6.9!!! husband's insurance is terrible..we only can get 7 visits per yr for the dr well with my health problems i dont know what to do anymore!! i feel like throwing in the towel if you know what i mean!!

Understand that wallmart has cheap strips.

With an A1C of 6.9 on insulin I'd say you should do all you can to stay on it.

You could also look up the following books (please get the latest editions only) which can be very helpful for you to self manage your own diabetes with what input you can get from your dr.

Hi if your doctor writes a prescription some insurance companies will pay.  Mind does and I have a co pay.
Then you could also try looking up the test strip that you use to see if the company offers a discount card to help pay.

Have you Google'd your unknown test strips with the keyword free? Contacted the mfg? Google'd free clinics in your area? Asked your local hospital? BTW, quite unusual for an A1c of 6.9% [151 mg/dl eAG] to require insulin when an oral medication can do the same.
