Strange symptom after heavy lunch

Why sometimes during or right after eating a heavy lunch especially if carbs are involved I feel for a split second blood leaving my head like I will faint? Have acid reflux, gastritis on and off for 11 yrs now. Also suffer from Hashimoto thyroiditis. My father who also has Hashimoto has also diabetes 2, so maybe there is a connection.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Sorry this is  happening to you.  Remember it is always best to check in with your doctor.  Issues with blood surgar could be involved as well as other things.  Here is an article to read that has different reasons for feeling faint after eating.  https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326174  People with unstable blood sugar, diabetes and prediabets can suffer glucose drops.  Some with diabetes digest food to quickly as well which can lead to dizziness.   If you have not had any recent blood work to check for diabetes, please do so.  This is easy enough to determine.  Please let us know if you speak to your doctor.
