Is there a difference to which type of carbs can be eaten if you are a diabetic?

I am trying to avoid being a diabetic.

Carbs from whole grains and/or carbs with fiber will help you maintain more stable blood sugar.

Eat low carb.  Carbs coming mostly from non starchy vegetables,  full fat unsweetened dairy,  nuts.  Avoid fruits,  grains,  sugars,  sweetened foods (including artificial sweeteners).
