Side effects of insulin

I have been taking diabetes meds for about 5 years off and on
Most of them make me feel tired and don’t work
I took Ozympic but I developed an itch on my right side that kept getting worse so I quit taking it. It did work and had brought my Ha1c but there website says to stop taking if you develop a rash or severe it
Anyway I’ve been told insulin doesn’t have side effects because it is natural.
Is this true?
Should I consider taking it?
