low readings in AM & Kidney involvment ?

The last two days I have had readings of 60 and 54. I do not usually test in the mornings but since i had the one low of 60 I decided to check again this morning @ 7:15, slept in for once.
Wondering if my moniter could be failing to register correctly?  I did not feel shakey or ill.
Also, are the Kidneys affected by Diabetes ?  I recently had my Urine checked because of burning as  I have been subject to bladder infections for years. It was ok. I have Fibro so hard to tell whats causing aching but have been having this burning and aching on both sides of waist but onlyduring the night,  also frequent urinating 3-4 x a night but not every night,  My readings are usually under 100 and last two averages  were 99 so don't think it's out of control.

Sounds like you have taken control, thats great. Keep up the good work. You should be proud of yourself.  If your blood sugar gets down around 70 you can get shaky and not feel well and perspire, then its time for a glass of juice with a bit of sugar in it.  You need to eat small meals more frequent. Watch those carbohydrates.  Good luck and keep walking.  Better for you to control IT than IT to control you.

Yes, i was put on Avandia for Type 2 abt 5 years ago.  Since then my #'s have improved with diet and exercise to the point that a new Dr. said she saw no reason for me to be on Avandia and i have since stopped useing it. It was never vy high, around 159 or so when it was diagnosed. If i am not careful of my diet it can jump up to the 130's to 140's. Am also on diovan for HBP which is  usually under good control with the 1 med.

You are having low glucose episodes.  Are you on insulin? Are you suppose to be diabetic?
Diabetes will effect kidneys when your sugar is very high ie over 270 and up fror long periosd of time.  Your blood sugar sounds good to me.
