15 year old girl in UK

Hi anyone who happens to read this...
I am a 15 year old girl from the UK and I have been overweight basically my whole life. I am 5ft6 and around 174lbs at a dress size 16. After all this time I have decided that I want to make a change and not only lose weight but also improve my fitness.
This is where I have come here, in the hope of finding help, motivation and tips on how to not only lose weight but also improve fitness levels...

Thanks for any help,
Bryony

The best way to lose weight is going vegan! Seriously! Its the most effective, natural and healthy way to do it. With the exercise you're doing (which is excellent BTW, keep it up!) You will be in shape within a year!  Just read about it, get use to the diet and probably new food you are going to eat, Try it just for a month and you'll see AMAZING results. Not only in your weight but in your whole body, you'll feel clean, light and energized. After that month I'm sure you will keep it ;). I went vegan over a year ago because I love animal and didn't feel good eating them, so unintentionally I lost like 20 pounds! I feel great ;) BTW, don't worry about calories!! That will only stress you and it doesn't work, there's healthy foods with a lot o calories like and avocado and junk food with zero calories like coke zero or whatever. Focus on nourish your body with HEALTHY FOOD and a good amount of exercise

you have to have three meals a day minimum 300 calories 3 snacks today not 200 calories each nothing after 7 p.m. And you get going like that and I guarantee you things will change also you have to take the weight that you are divided in half that's how many ounces of water you need to drink a day to help flush your systemalso we all love soda drinks however if you get rid of this sugar full drinks I can almost promise you that you lose 50 pounds like that I did this for 2 years I lost two hundred and thirty seven pounds I was the 5x and I came down to a size 2 if you're determined enough you can do it I wish you all the best and if you have any specific questions for me give me a call or text me your email me I'll be glad to help you out anyway I can.

Sincerely
Briezanna

Hey! I'm a 15 year old as well:) I'm currently 152cm and 46.5-47 kilos (weight varies). I wanted to lose weight as well and managed to lose 5kg in a month. The diet I went on was one where I avoided gluten, stuck to lean meats and protein and avoided any food high in saturated fats and sugar. I also eat 2 meals a day, breakfast at 5:39 in the morning : fruits or gluten free cereal, and dinner around 4:30-5 : fish/ salad/ something healthy. I tend to snack a lot so I make sure that there's tons of fruits which I then cut and put into bowls to limit myself. In school I drink a giant glass of water, and as snacks I eat medjool dates (natural sweetness!!) after avoiding gluten, my weight doesn't increase much after a binge. I also run 3-7 km 2x a week (depending on schedule). So basically, excercise, eat lots of lean meats and veggies and fruits, stay away from wheat.... But I'm not sure it will work for you because you may be more used to eating wheat:) haha as I'm Asian, I am more used to eating rice... However, it worked for me:) I hope it may work for you as well:)

The main cereal that I eat is mini weetabix with chocolate chips in them and if say probably 2 cups ish...
My chocolate bar of choice would be a Mars bar normally
And the chunk of cheese is probably about an ounce.
Normally the meat would be either chicken or fish. 1 fillet of each would be the portion size. Then veggies should be broccoli, leaks, peas or sweetcorn about half a cup of the lattter 2 or a cup of the first two.

Netball is a sport where you can be stood still at times although not often. ERM I'd say I am still in netball about 10% of the time

Can you be specific about the types/amounts of each food you're eating?  For instance, how much cereal are you eating (in cups)?  And what kind?  Not all cereals are created equal.

How large is the "chunk of cheese"  (ounces)?  Same for the chocolate bar?  What types of meat and how much do you eat and what types of veggies and how much do you eat?

I'm not familiar with netball.  When you're playing that, are you constantly active or are there times when you're just standing around waiting for something to happen?  What type of "fitness" do you do?

Sorry to be so specific, but I need to find out why you aren't losing.

Well,

Food:
- a bowl of cereal
- an apple/banana/a bunch of grapes
- about 5 bourbon biscuits
- 2 slices of bread and butter
- a chunk of cheese
- chocolate bar of some sort
- evening meal varies but is usually meat and 2 veg of some sort

Exercise:
Monday - 1 hour P.E (so fitness followed by basketball, rugby or volleyball)
                - 1 hour netball
Tuesday - 40 mins fitness
                - 1 hour netball
                - 1 hour 30 mins hockey (albeit I play in goal majority of the time)
Wednesday - 40 mins running
Thursday - 2 hours netball

Saturday - 2 hours hockey (match + warm up)

I also occasionally have matches during the week...

I am also looking to up the amount of exercise I do

I'm happy to try to help you.  We'll start with the basics.

Can you give me an idea of what types of food/how much food you eat over the course of a day?

In order to lose weight, you have to calculate the number of calories you need each day.  If you're eating more than that, you will have to cut some out.

I'd also like to know what types of exercise you get and for how long each day.
