What can patients do to change the levels of LDL and HDL in their blood?

Eat oats.  Oatmeal and/or Cherrios.

There are foods you can eat that will help you lower your cholesterol levels.  My doctor told me to go on the Miami Mediterranean Diet, to lower my levels.  I bought the book, but too many of the recipes don't fit my taste or lifestyle.

Exercise and weight loss can also help.
