My husband ordered my chillo (might have a w on the end - chillow - not sure) online from a place called drug store. com. But if you do a search, you should be able to find them...... good luck........
Thanks for the advice ladies,The only symptom i have at the moment are the hot flushes they are so bad i have fainted a couple of times I do have a fan which helps a little bit, I will look out for a chillo though i have never heard of it, i had my hysterectomy 19 yrs ago but they left my overies, I will wait till friday when i go back to the doctors to see what the options are.
I had both patches and tablets of varying dosages for years. For the most part, the HRT did not do anything for my hot flashes. My doctor suggested that I try Black Cohash, but that didn't do anything either, so I quit all of it a few years after I had my hysterectomy.
One thing that does help - if you get night sweats - I had seen advertisements for a thing called a "Chillo" and I had my husband get me one (he actually got 2 of them) for Christmas a couple years ago. It's a thin plastic "pillow" with foam inside and you fill it up with water... you can slip it inside you pillow case or just lay on it........ Sure helps me......
I know there are some natural ways - you could talk to a Naturopath. I'm going through peri-menopause but cannot do the hormone replacement. The symptoms go up and down and I'm just working through it. I've warned my family and they have learned to hide when I'm super irritated and we have a number of fans around the house and my husband will run and turn them on and put in front of me to help. Hope you can manage OK.
