You can post your current weight on the new thread that was started this morning. It can be accessed at the following link:

I start a new weigh in thread each week; the title always has the date, in order to keep straight on which thread to post.
Down by 1lbs as of 4/14 my weight is 213lbs.
Hello everyone, my start weight as of June 2012 was 189 lbs and that was the highest weight I had ever been in my life. I am currently 159 lbs and my goal weight is 135 lbs.
Hi! I just found your group today, I'm so glad I did! KTowne, I also have hypothyroidism, found after having my first child, (i now have 2) I have been treating it since 2006, and every year or so my levothyroxine has to be bumped up, I have recently gained 13 lbs after changing nothing in my diet just to find out my levels are off again. I'm beyond ready to get this weight off, as of today I weigh 202, and will start posting on Sundays! Good luck everyone!
I just wanted to update my weight, I'm sure it's just a difference in the scales, but I got a new scale and it shows 180 not 183, I'm going to start over using my new scale weight so I'm being consistent, my weight today was 180, so I'll do my weigh ins on Wednesdays, my start weight is 180.
Thank you for this. I'm 17 an I'm just starting out and my weight is 170. My goal weight is 155. An I hope to reach my weight with in 8 weeks. I will be weigh in every week on Tuesday.
Hi, I am Pre Diabetic and I take 500 mg of Metformin daily. Started my healthy life style on Feb. 22, as of April 6th, I have lost 30lbs! From 244 to 214. I watch my carb intake..I get most my Carbs, naturally, through fruits and veggies. I eat no more than 45 grams of carbs at each meal. Sometime less. I eat nothing white. Nothing with Sugar or Refine Flour. I always brown if I choose to eat any Rice or Bread. This works for me. I have a very active job. So I don't really work out. I know I should. :) My short term goal is to be down to 200lbs,by May 5th. But, if not, that's o.k. See ya all next Sunday!
Well since being regulated I've only really got myself into gear one time to lose weight, for about 6 months, and I ate better (not exactly healthy), and exercised almost daily and lost quite a bit of weight pretty easily, then I got pregnant and here I am again! I haven't had any other symptoms, before I was regulated I was tired CONSTANTLY.. allll the time, and since I've been regulated I've felt just fine. I just had a complete blood workup a few weeks ago, she went over everything with me, everything came out fine. Would I have to ask for a specific test for insulin resistance? I don't believe I have PCOS, when we were TTC I was **** research on my thyroid issue and came across PCOS a lot, I never had any symptoms of it. I used ovulation kits and never had constant positives, got pregnant within 2 months each time, very regular cycles, etc. But of course it's a possibility. Should I just try to lose weight for a few months, if no progress, ask for the specific tests, or ask to be tested right away just to know?
I did the weigh in for years, but stopped because of lack of participation; some weeks I didn't have any responses at all. It seems that we have a new group here, that's looking for support and that's what I'm all about.
I assume you have your goals set for those weddings?
I'll continue to do the weigh ins and maybe give you a little "nudge" now and then; how's that? We're all here together and we're all trying to reach goals. You just gave me an idea for next month's Question of the Month..... thanks.
KTowne -- I'm really jealous that you got regulated so easily. My levels came into "normal range" easily, but "normal" on the lab report wasn't "normal" for me, because my symptoms weren't alleviated and my doctor refused to look at symptoms, he only wanted to go by labs (and TSH, at that)...... I thought he was going to kill me.
Usually, once thyroid levels have stabilized and are optimal for the individual, weight will come off. Since weight gain/inability to lose are hypo symptoms, I'd have to wonder if you're really optimal. Do you have any other symptoms of hypo? Have you checked out the thyroid forum, yet? Have you been tested for insulin resistance or PCOS? Both make losing weight very hard.
brandydavalos - congrats on the 7 lb loss, but do be careful. If you're only juicing, you probably aren't getting all the nutrients you need, such as protein, good fats, calcium, B12, etc. I'm not big on "fad" type things, but wish you the best luck.
Hi Barb!! I remember when you did this a couple yrs ago and it REALLY helped me keep on track with my weightloss. I'm so glad you are able to start it up again!! :)
A little bit about myself:
I am 24 yrs old and I have an 18 mth old daughter. Prior to getting pregnant I had lost 38 lbs, going from 215 lbs to 177 lbs.. I had NEVER felt so good about myself! During my pregnancy I gained a whopping 66lbs going from 177lbs to 243lbs. The past couple mths I have been trying to lose some weight (havent really gotten serious about it until the last 2 1/2 weeks) I have managed to lose 17lbs :)
I have 2 weddings that I am a Bridesmaid in this year (Aug 31st and Sept 14th) and I REALLLLLY need to lose weight, not only because of being in 2 weddings but becasue I need to make sure i'm going to be as healthy as I can be for my daughter Tessa :)
I look forward to doing these weekly weight-ins!
Thanks again Barb, from the bottom of my heart!

After I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (after my first pregnancy) I read about it online and was planning on a long battle to get my thyroid levels regulated. I was first put on 25mcg of levothyroxine, and it wasn't enough, so my doctor changed the dosage to 50mcg and it has worked for me for the past 4 years, including through my last pregnancy, I just had it checked again last week and it still looks great, thank god. I'm glad it regulated so easily, we were planning on TTC so I wanted to make sure for a least 3 months that my levels were within normal range before we started trying so it didn't interfere with my pregnancy. I know it's so much harder to lose weight having hypothyroidism, and I'm probably going to struggle my whole life to lose weight and keep it off, but I need to do it to be healthier for my children! Thank you for starting the weekly weigh ins again!
Last monday I weighed 325 and this monday I am 318 thats a 7lb loss I am juice fasting 5 days a week and exercising 5 days a week this week I am adding an extra pilates type workout
It's okay if you weigh on Monday; just go ahead and post your weight here, like you would if you weighed on Sunday.
KTowne and Haitiandiva - hopefully, the weigh ins will help keep you both motivated, and on track.
KTowne, you're lucky you were able to get your thyroid leveled out so easily; it took me over 3 yrs to even get in the ballpark, which is why I gained so much weight. Now having insulin resistance, is just making it worse.
I'm thrilled to see people participating in the forum. Please let me know what I can do to help all of you.
I like that option of a weekly weigh in I have 4 kids and before that I was 135 lbs now I'm at 177 with 1 month in working out and trying to eat right which is really hard so motivation from other people is great and weekly weigh I. Is awesome because you will see if you are progressing or not
I weighed about 130 before I had my two kids, I've gotten myself up to 180,
(currently 183, 3 months pp after getting to about 203 by 40 weeks pregnant) i would like to get down to at least 140-130. I had my daughter in January and was given the okay to exercise again 8 weeks pp, I've just gotten myself into gear exercising with Zumba every other day and slowly adjusting to a healthier diet. I also have hypothyroidism, diagnosed since 2009 and have been regulated since then. SO I'm currently 183, hoping to get to at least 140! I think by the weekly weigh ins it will help me want to keep progressing weekly if possible!
I like to weight in on mon. Thanks for doing this. You're do I post my weight?
