Loving Ourselves ... ???

“The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others but ourselves as well”  Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

A very dear friend forwarded this to me. It would be criminal if I didn't share the joy, tears and breathless wonder watching this will bring YOU. As it did for me . So, I hope you choose to check it out, be prepared to have a life changing experience. Then make sure to send a few notes to your friends and provide them with the link to this post so they can become involved in the warmth and motivation the members of the WL&D community share. Together our small sparks can create a large flame that can and will dispel darkness and warm others who seek this .....

You owe it to yourself to check it out....

Elaine - you sound a lot like me - but that's one of the things I love about myself -- I have the ability, willingness, generosity, and kindness to help "fix" a lot of things and although I can't always fix my own problems right away, I can still help others.  That's not a bad thing - just as long as you DO take time for yourself as well.........

Hugs

Throughout my journey, I have learned much; one important lesson deals with this topic.

I always thought I deserved to be treated well and was quite taken aback when I wasn't.  Somehow I always thought there must be something wrong with me to be treated that way and it hurt way down deep inside.

There has been a lot of self evaluation done and questions asked to finally arrive at the conclusion that the person treating me the worst .. was me.  I allowed others to treat me poorly rather than drawing respectable and kind boundaries for the behavior I would tolerate.  I am the one who took out their unkindness by stuffing myself with food and mentally telling myself I did not care.  My value and self-esteem plummeted. As I looked back on my life and questioned why my self-esteem was so low, I soon realized I was my own worst enemy and had to change.

My earnest and heartfelt request for you .. is to examine the time you make for yourself to exercise, to eat well, to feed your inner curiosity and desires.  Do you do these things for yourself?  Are you as good to you as you are to others?  If not .. you may want to consider that this can be a huge stumbling block in our journey to a successful lifestyle change and health.

LOVE AND HUGGGSSSSS to EACH OF YOUUUUU!!!!  I BELIEVE IN YOU .. and YOU are WORTH IT!!!

And, Phil ... thanks for being a caring soul and sharing this video and your inspiring words.
