Sunday Weigh In - July 17, 2011

Another week gone by and once more, it's time to see how we did last week.

I gained 0.6 lbs, but I'm not worried about it because I don't think it's fat.  My fingers are swollen this morning and so is my face, which tells me I'm dealing with water weight, more than additional fat.

The past week hasn't been a bad one though it's still stressful, having my aunt with us on a 24/7 basis.  Not that she's really any trouble; it's just different having someone else in the house all the time. Anyway, because of her health condition when she came here, I've had to pay more attention to what I'm cooking and make sure I cook on a regular basis.  I guess that's helped me watch what I eat a bit better as well.

Even though my eating habits may be getting better, my exercise is not.  Working the 10 hr days during the summer, leaves almost no time for additional exercise; by the time I get home, tend to my aunt and do household chores, the day is over and it's time for bed.  The saving factor is that I do a lot of walking at work, and as soon as I get finished with this post, I'm going out to mow my share of the yard, before it gets too hot.  I'll do my inside chores later on, in the air conditioning.

On that note, I hope everyone had a great week, and is looking forward to an even better one.

Let's win by losing.........

I was just glad to have maintained for a week.  I had a slip up though in the middle of the week with coffee again which caused me 2 lbs of water weight, but then I got back on track and now I am just back to the same weight.

Barb135 I can definitely relate to the working too much and not finding the time on the exercise.  Last year especially I was working 80 hrs a week and it was very difficult to find time to exercise, so I started just taking a 20 minute increment out of my day on lunch break to get a jog in or a fast walk.  And it helped refresh me a lot.  Sometimes I set my expectations too high and try to push to exercise a half hour or longer then if I don't have that amount of time, I don't do exercise at all.  With setting the goal at 20 minutes it was easier for me to manage at the time.

Well, I got rid of company that had been with me for 3 weeks and left promptly on their heels to go out of town for 10 days myself.  I am not on my own scale, but I weighed the same this morning as last week.  I did forget to weight, though, until after I ate breakfast, so maybe I would have lost a pound, I don't know.  It's all good and will show next week maybe...but, of course, I'm not home.

Oh well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
