Sunday Weigh In - Oct 3, 2010

Back to another Sunday again - my how quickly this week flew by, even though there were a couple of days that I thought would never end!!

I'm up by 0.6 lbs this week, from 145.6 to 146.2, but I'm not concerned about that, since I'm retaining fluid this morning; there's a good chance, that once I start moving around for the day, the swelling will go down and so will my weight.

My co-worker is still out from his fall from the ladder over the Labor Day weekend and the subsequent broken ribs, collarbone and punctured lung........ yeah, he did quite a number on himself; this coming week will be his 5th off work and I'm not sure how many more.  At any rate, as long as he's out, I do "double duty", which keeps me on the go from the time I start working at 6:00 am until I punch out at 2:30 pm.

I did an excellent job of watching my food intake all week long, and at one point during the week, I was actually down a whole pound from last week, but then of course, I will say that would have been a combination of loss of fluid and fat.

I went for the usual breakfast out with Auntie, yesterday and as usual, I ate too much of the wrong things.  Shame, shame...........  In addition to that, the neighbor with whom I walk most days, has been out of state this week.  She should be back tomorrow and on Tues, we will resume walking daily again until she leaves for OR later in the month.  She will be back in Jan for the winter.  I need to get back on the treadmill every day!!

Okay, that's my story for the week and I'm stickin' to it............ how about you?  Have you been successful? If so, let us share your joy........  Or did you have a set back?  Let us support you and help you get going again.

Remember: there are no failures; only set backs.

Didn't weigh myself yesterday but I just did the Wii Fit, which weighs me every time and I am up slightly from 2 weeks ago when I last went on.  I am finally over that nasty sinus cold that lasted for almost 3 weeks. Its great to be feeling good again!

Barb, sorry to hear about your co-worker and sorry that you are having to do "double duty" now. That *****. Hope he heals soon and you can get back to your normal routines. Its stressful to do all that extra work so remember to take care of yourself! :)

tigerlily, I hear ya about eating out! Its nice to do and important too at times, but it sure makes it hard to stay on track. You are doing great and have no doubt you will rock it this week! ;)

The weather has been great for the past week and my daughter dragged me out a few times for shorter-then-usual walks, but hey, at least we got out and got walking. Tonight I went back on the Wii Fit since its raining tonight. We have our Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend so not sure if next week will be much better... gotta love those holidays but sure makes staying on track much tougher.

You've done such a good job of staying on top of things, a splurge once in a while is good, but I know how frustrating it can be.  I've no doubt that you will accomplish your goal this week.

Well, I was going to ditch weigh in because I went out with the hubby for dinner on Friday and overate but I thought, no. So, here I am, up exactly 2 pounds from last week. I'm at 127.8 and hope to come down over the next few days.

I was fine with my meal and dessert but had more after I came home. This is the real issue. Eating when I'm not hungry. I must say I did very well for my son's birthday and the rest of the week I just should have stopped the other day after dinner and not completely over done it.

I'm cleaning an apartment and keeping busy with babysitting and volunteering at the school, so, I hope to show up next Sunday minus two pounds.
