Sunday Weigh In - October 23, 2011

Another week has come and gone; I'm still here, hope we have lots of members ready to weigh in with me this morning.

My week hasn't been anything special; nor has it been a bad one.  I'm still trying to get used to not having to get up at 3:30 am to go to work; my body clock seems to be set for that time and I wake up then nearly every day.

We continue to deal with Auntie's issues, which is not easy, either.  She remains in rehab, and will, for some time to come, as a result of her fractured hip.  There are always new issues cropping up there.

My winter neighbor arrived last week, and we are attempting to establish a walking pattern.  Of course, her and her husband are trying to get settled in, and with me dealing with Auntie, we're kind of hit and miss right now, but we'll get a routine, I think.

Weight wise, I'm still holding steady at 144 lbs, for the 5th week in a row.  It's strange that during the week, I might bounce around, either lower or higher, but always seem to end up at the 144.  While I'm relieved that I'm not gaining, I need to get busy and do something to break this pattern.

So how about everyone else?  Success or set back?  Let us know how you're doing, so we can cheer you on!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week.

Remember, we win by losing........

Certainly happy to hear that both blood clots are gone...... I can only imagine the pain you've been in.

Also good that you can resume PT; and while it's too bad you're behind, I've no doubt that you will catch up soon.

You've got the knew - make it work!!

I found out today that they had been monitoring TWO blood clots. The good news is that they are both G-O-N-E.  I asked why I am still in pain (although, it is slightly better). The ultrasonographer told me that when you have a blood clot in your leg, your veins or arteries are dilated. The sensation I get is that when I stand up, MUCH blood pools into my leg. I have no idea if it is doing that, but the ache and throbbing take my breath away for several seconds.

Anyway, I resume PT tomorrow, but I am way behind. I am very concerned about that. You may remember that I was saying how I was walking TONS plus working out besides in order to be in good shape for the surgery. I feel like I lost all the momentum I worked up. I am a figher, though. I will get past this. I want my knee! I'll get it :)

You be careful with that leg; you could end in worse shape than before.  Take it easy and keep us posted on that blood clot.

YAY, Giggles !

I told you I've been watching/cheering you! I am so glad you joined WW and that friends from work did, too. It does help to have accountability and companionship with this whole thing.

Barb, with all that YOU'RE going through? YAY that you're holding steady! I have a bad habit of emitional eating, although I am winning that battle the longer I get into this journey.

I didn't choose to participate in this weigh-in because my surgery took a step backwards. I have a blood clot and am not even doing PT yet. This is HORRIBLE for a replacement joint, and I hope to be starting tomorrow (Tuesday). I am also swollen in the leg that had the surgery - from hip to ankle - so my weight is hard to gauge. My appetite isn't for squat, but that is pain medication talking I'm sure.

I'm still here, rootin' for you guys ! I'll be back when I can.

Wow, that's pretty impressive, but do be careful not to drop too much, too fast.  It always helps to have others join in something like that, doesn't it?  Keep up the good work.
