Good morning. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. It's bright and sunny here today, but I don't expect it to stay that way for very long as we've been having rain every day for the past week, so the days end up dark and damp. I know I shouldn't be complaining when there are parts of the country that are terribly hot and dry... of course, it's hot here too - just not so dry though we are just coming out of a drought.
Anyway, this past week has been busy, again, but I still don't seem to be getting a lot done. I've done some work outside, but that's limited with the rain we've had. I cleaned some more things out of my closet to be taken to the Hospice thrift store but still don't have the box full yet. I did do some work in my wood shop a couple of days, working on a calligraphy pen. I had 2 others I'd started, but had difficulty and wasn't happy with them, so just laid them down and walked away. I did go ahead and finish those, as well. Still not happy with any of them, but they're done anyway. I need to do some more research and figure out the best way to make them. I thought I had it all figured out, but apparently, not.
In addition to making the pens, I've actually worked on a couple of calligraphy projects. I have a couple of cards to get made over the next few days, so that will be my focus for this coming week.
I'm still working on keeping down the amount of food I'm eating and have started doing a few simple exercises (no need to "jump" into anything... lol). At any rate, my efforts have helped me lose about a pound this week. It's awesome to be finally, going the right direction, though my weight does bounce around a lot - I can gain/lose up to 5 lbs over a 24 hr period, so we know that has to be fluid fluctuation, not fat. I haven't weighed this morning, but yesterday, I was down a pound from last week, so I'll claim that and hope I can keep it going in the right direction.
So - what about you? Were you able to meet the goal(s) you set for yourself this week? I look forward to reading about your week.
~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
