Sunday Weigh-In June 20, 2021

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there.  I hope you have a great day.

It's been kind of a busy week, for me, but I don't feel like I've accomplished very much.  I've been very tired lately and can't seem to get past it.  I thought the tiredness was being caused by one of my medications, so I cut back on the dosage.  That seemed to help for a day or so, but I'm back to having trouble staying awake again.

I think I mentioned last week that I rearranged the room in which I have my treadmill so I could use it.  Believe it or not, I have actually used it.  Not every day, because one day I spent several hours outside doing yard work, and another day I spent several hours mowing the yard.   I thought both of those qualified as exercise, since I was doing a lot of pushing, pulling, lifting, etc, along with tons of sweating.

I think the days I spend working outside can qualify as "exercise", so I'll use the treadmill on the days I don't do anything outside.  It's been terribly hot here, so there are definitely certain times of the day when it's best to stay in the air conditioning.

Anyway, I haven't weighed this morning, but yesterday, my scales showed that I'd lost 3 lbs this week for all my effort.  Of course, I realize some of that was fluid, but at least the scale was going in the right direction.  I do have a doctor's appointment coming up in early July, so need to try to lose a couple more pounds before then.

We have some things going on today for Father's Day, so I'm going to keep this short.  I hope you've been able to meet whatever goal(s) you set for yourself this past week and look forward to  hearing about them. .

~~Wishing you a wonderful, successful week~~

You lost three pounds; I lost three tenths of a pound. I'd take yours any time! lol Mine might actually be a bit more than .3 of a pound, we had parmesan chicken last night from the deli, and it was salty -- I've got to get out of the rut of eating salty foods the night before weigh-in. But I'll take the .3, at least it wasn't a gain like last week.

This past week was the end of middle school for my son, and while I stayed out of all the rushed work he was doing to finish the term, it was still a stressful time for all of us. Thank heaven the computer-only learning is now over. I think he'll be a lot happier and probably stay on track and more up to date with in-person classes, even though they'll be high school and he doubtless won't be ready for the increase in pace. We'll do a little prep work this summer around planning and organization, and maybe I'll have his cousin (recent college grad in mathematics) run him through his Algebra I and Geometry to make sure he's ready for the Algebra II class he's taking in the fall. Right now, though, rest is the order of the day. We're all tired.

Oops -- husband is calling, he actually cooked dinner. Must go. Have a great week!
