Why is it so hard to think of ways to reward ourselves, i promised myself a reward when i lost 100lbs but still havent managed to think of anything,

Not sure how far 50 cents stretches but what about a pamper day hair, make up
(over here you can get your make up done in the larger stores for free), nails maybe a massage then a nice meal with your husband and then who knows :-)
and if you fail you will have to post all your worst photos, and maybe a 5mile jog or walk

I need the motivation too!! i'm like stuck between 2-3 lbs for my goal and im just bouncing around LOL! My goal was 120 and maintain weight is supposed to be 117-122! My clothes already fit like i want so i feel like just saying oh well and not trying to get that 120 but the other part of me wants to say NO WAY get the 120 such confusion!! LOL!!
I know you can reach your goal too we just gotta kick either's butts through the PC LOL!!
Maybe a reward you could just stay at home and do like a nice spa thing take a bubble bath with candles do your nails or toenails with no interuptions!!
I like the make-up idea. I could have a virtual massage - and make some of my MH buddies give me one! I was teasing about the 50 cents, but any reward that costs money has to be REALLY inexpensive. I want to learn non-monetary, non-calorie wards.
oohh! ALL my worst photos? I could never jog 5 miles with my knee, but you could force a 5-mile walk on me - on my case every day, HUH? Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!

Of course the major motivation will be the satisfaction you will have because you look the way you want to, so keep that picture in your mind.
Ok - here's MY suggestions:
MOTIVATION TO SUCCEED: I like goku's idea of something that you can do at home. The spa idea is wonderful. Run yourself a warm bath with some bath salts (epsom salts works in lieu of bath salts) and bubble bath (I've even used dishwashing liquid - hey don't laugh - it's cheap, you have it on hand and it makes great bubbles). Light some candles and pour yourself a nice tall glass of wine (oops, you don't drink wine, so go for a refreshing glass of ice water with a sliver of lemon in a pretty glass). Take your largest, softest bath towel and "fluff" it in the dryer for a few minutes to get it nice and warm; sink yourself into that tub, relax and enjoy!! When you get out rub yourself down with your favorite body lotion/oil and climb into your favorite pj's/nightie.
OR
Treat yourself to your favorite meal - try to get someone else (hubby/kids) to make it or if possible or get take out.
OR
If you get vacation time from work, treat yourself to a day off to do whatever you want - window shopping (you said it had to be cheap), lunch with friends, etc.
CONSEQUENCES OF FAILING: I think you should have to post a photo of yourself in a bikini!! Or at least in a pair of short shorts and skimpy tank top if you don't own a bikini. AND an extra hour at the gym!!
That's a few ideas and I have 4 1/2 weeks to come up with more - right??
To get there it might help to take a photo of yourself when you weighed what you wanted and post it on the fridge, cupboards, wherever you will see it on a regular basis to remind yourself of what you want to look like.
There's no doubt in my mind that you CAN and WILL reach your goal. And of course, we will want to see the before and after photos. AND we will expect you to come up with all kinds of things to motivate us in return.
Good luck and we will expect daily updates to make sure you are tending to business!! lol
Have a party for yourself. You could send out invitations to friends and family giving yourself a party on the date you think you will lose the weight. Make them bring the food (healthy food of course) and wine.
It would be very embarrassing to have this party and then have to tell everyone you didn't meet your goal. The thought of all these people watching you get on the scale and not make it might motivate you to stay on track.
What the heck - have a HUGE PARTY! YOU'RE WORTH IT, AREN'T YOU. And let's face it - hitting your goal weight deserves a party. It's hard work losing weight.
You're kind of like our little "Dear Abby" of ideas on here, huh? Very good ones...well, NOT the bikini one!!! I like the warm, fluffy bath towel, bubble bath, body lotion (I have lots from Bath & Body Works), AND fav. nightie (hubby will like this, too - he might just help me reach my goal!!!).
AND, it would just serve you right if I posted a photo of myself in a bikini!!! I'd be kicked off MH permanently, for sure. Is that what you want? You want to steal all my answers? An extra HOUR at the gym? OUCH! You drive a hard bargain, lady! *stands while typing*
BTW, there IS a photo of me at my goal weight on my profile page. It isn't on the front page, you have to go into my photos. I'm wearing white pants and a brown top and it says something about me being at my goal weight...

PARTY! I had an idea!!! It could be a virtual party with all of you guys. You could sign up for what you're bringing - and it wouldn't cost a dime! We could do a live chat party!!! Wouldn't that be fun? We could make it work. Like an open house, just drop in when you can. Of course, bring me lots of gifts!
Oh, but how devious you are! A real party and weighing in front of everybody? You first!!! No, these are exactly the kinds of ideas I asked for and you guys are delivering.
I think I will throw the huge party if I can keep my weight off for...2 years...or should I make that 3? THAT'S my real goal, being able to KEEP my weight off.

Do you have itunes? On thing I do is listen to the Dance radio stations (they're free if you have itunes), or the techno stations and pretend I'm in an early 90s aerobic video....or pretend I'm Jane Fonda. So that may help you burn a few extra calories a day....or maybe you could reward yourself with some new tunes that will motivate you to keep working out (a new song to work out to!)
Ok Twehner you inspired me LOL! I did not finish my workout earlier so just a bit ago i got off my duff and did the other part of what i did not finish!! I dragged you too so im hope your sweating as much as me right now LOL!! I did the biggest loser bootcamp OMG feel like some1 socked me in the gut but good work out lol!!

Oh how FUN is This??? Well, for starters, how about a “Princess Day”??? A day set aside just to pamper yourself and do anything you want to do! Like .. having hubby fix breakfast in bed, do your nails, color/fix your hair, light candles, listen to music or curl up with a good book, take a soaky bath with candles, get all dolled up or stay in your jammies .. it’s YOUR Day!!! Think you should make a crown as well and wear it all day long!!! You can even go to the ball! Get all schmanzy and invite hubby to dance! Candlelight dinner anyone??? Just think of the possibilities!
What is your little heart’s desire? You could have a beach party! Whether you’re near the water or in a wading pool or throw a towel down in the living room .. put on your bathing suit and sunglasses, set up an umbrella and relax! You mind can take you anywhere you want to go! A little suntan lotion, the rays of the sun or a sun lamp .. and you’ve got it made!
Now .. I’m not much into the punishment side .. never worked for me. Personally, if you’re that disciplined to dole out your own punishment, you’ll be disciplined enough to do the things you need to do to succeed. However, you can continue to have a crunch challenge with Skailark or have Barb sit you in the corner .. lolll As for me .. I’ll just give you (((Hugs))) and encouragement to keep on going knowing you may arrive there a little later than planned, but you WILL arrive there and celebrate your goal.
