I don't know what diets you have tried, but crash diets don't work. If you cut back on your caloric intake by stages you will lose weight slowly, but it will stay off. Crash diets result in irresistible hunger and are self-defeating. A workable diet requires patience. Also develop an exercise program. Start with a moderate workout, perhaps just walking for starters. As you become thinner and more fit you can advance to a more intensive regimen. If you have ever watched "The Biggest Loser" you assume that they are working out furiously all day long. Not so. Given the extent of their obesity that would be impossible. But it makes good television. Most of their weight is lost through a restricted diet.

im 24 and i have been overweight since 3rd grade. the past year i finally got to it and lost 100 lbs. its a lifestyle change. u need to think of it that way. not just diet and exercise. you have to change the way u live to achieve this goal. i started by cutting certain things out of my diet. including snacks and fast food. i started just walking 30 mins a day. after a couple of weeks i kept taking things away and adding more exercise

its the baby steps that one day it will change ya. right now its just habit to hit the gym and bike ride everywhere and eat healthy.

just take one step at a time and dont look back. mistakes happen buts the way u bounce back on ur mistake

whats your height and weight? and what are you eating when you "diet" i can tell you the biggest thing that has helped me. i keep a food diary of what i eat, it made me aware of the stuff i was putting in my body. i didn't realize how many calories i was eating everyday. and i learned that not all calories are the same. for the past 3 weeks i have only been drinking water, nothing else, and i only eat fruits/fresh no canned, veggies and chicken, turkey or fish. and i've already dropped 13 pounds. and i haven't even started my exercise yet, but i plan on doing that tomorrow, i've just been really busy with  my kids. i used to be very athletic and in shape in high school and used to run w/my dad every morning.
