sucralose aspartane or suger?

It is so nice to be able to grab a zero calorie sports drink and have no guilt of the calories and gaining weight, but at the same time I have heard these drinks contain fake sugar that is worse for weight loss and can actually gain weight. I would like some other opinions on wether low calorie is the best option... or should I just eat the calories and go with plain sugar? I am counting calories for my diet and just cannot waste any on juice.

I agree that artificial sweeteners are bad for you, as is refined sugar.  Per Caryopteris, it's best to make water or unsweetened tea your drink of choice.  If you don't like plain water, try flavoring it with fresh lemon juice.

If you  have to have a sweetener, add stevia, which is a natural sweetener with no calories and doesn't spike blood sugar.

Water or unsweetened tea are best for weight loss.  Fake sugars are terrible for you.  I once saw a neurologist and that was the first thing out of her mouth, and I didn't even use them.
