Healing a duodenal ulcer

Dear Docters,
I have a duodenal ulcer that is not responding to medications. I am in pain almost all the time, and this has been going on for three and a half months. For several months the docter's thought it was my gallbladder.(The gallbladder is located right near the duodenum)
Anyways, I need some help with information as to what I can eat, and any remidies to heal this thing which is ruining my life.
Most foods irritate it.Please help!!!
Thanks,
Scott

My husband HAD the same problem for years. Im a nurse and we got the best of care but...we finnaly found a combination of treatment that not only worked but repaired the ulcer.
The treatment was the drug FLAGEL and Peptobismal.
Ulcers are caused by a bacteria and Flagel is a very strong antibiotic that rids the body of bacteria and the pepto calms the body.
Its been 10 years without any problems. Docs were considering surgery, but we found a great doc that led us to understand what starts the ulcer and fix that first.
He hasent had a problem for years and not the ulcer is gone.

check into this treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry you have this problem. I would try to stay away from things that are acidic or spicy, and things like chocolate, alcohol, and anything too fatty or greasy. An example dinner might be a 4 ounce portion of skinless chicken breast or fish, and maybe some rice with steamed vegetables like broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, or spinach. There are alot of mild herbs you can use to dress things up without irritating your ulcer. Good oils are canola and olive oil. One thing to remember is to keep the meals smaller and more frequent - that way your system is never working too hard but it always has a little food to coat it so the digestive enzymes don't have a chance to irritate it. I've also heard that liquid aloe vera can help heal the digestive tract lining, but don't know whether that's been proven.
Best of luck.
