I woke up early this morning with a severe stomach ache, crushing pain in my stomach, nauseous, sweating profusely. Went into the restroom thinking maybe I had to go...I had diarrheas, vomited& severe burning&pain in my chest&stomach. Any ideas?

If the meds arent helping much, try having a gallbladder test done. I have similar problems was put on 1 prilosec and 1 pepcid a day, I was still having symptoms. Now the dr says the symptoms are caused from gallstones which can mimic the symptoms of gerd/acid indegestion. The meds help keep the symptoms at bay but is just a coverup for the gallstones.
I discovered that my stomach illness was due to allergies, airborne, once I got that under controll I felt much better.
hello,
i am 34fem i have been on protonix f1 per day or mild esophagits/erosive gastritis for the last 2 months.
i was supposed to take 1 every other day soon to stop i guess.
was doing fairly well, watching my diet and everything/wedge pillow etc...
anyhow after an episode where i had water late at night and since then i have on and off
burning symptoms called my gi he said it's not due to reflux should go to and ear/nose/throat specialist.
did so. he said it's reflux go back to the gi.
so i went to another gi today. she suggested going off protonix and start nexium 2 x day for 1 month when i should be completely symptom free and after 1 month do another egd. i don't know what to do.
i was eager to stop the meds now they want me to 2 x per day!!!however am i going to wean off them ?
what do i do ?
I thought someone would answer, but it seems that I might have found the answer on my own- allergies.
