Here is a website that sells "Probiotics". www.edenfoods.com
Click on "Shop/Browse, then the "Probiotics" are the second item on the list: Bifa-15 Probiotic. Click on it and it will give you more information. I believe this is a good Natural Foods company. They have an excellent mail order website. I have ordered from them and never had a problem.
Hi, about the aloe vera, get some "pure" aloe vera juice- the dose is 25ml (about 1 ounce) twice a day.
About the probiotics, yeah, some are a waste of time, which ones, I do not know, there is so much contradictory evidence out there (capsules vs. powdered, etc.), you'll drive yourself crazy trying to decide. What I did to get around this, is take BOTH capsules and powder, with different types of bacteria in each. (Although the range I had available to me was limited). I had a powder that had 6 different bacteria, one with 2 types bactertia, in it and 2 sets of capsules with 2 different types of bacteria in them. (I am not in the US, I know there is a much larger range there)- (I have been told to avoid ones with too many different types of bacteria because you don't get enough of each). But don;t go crazy- 1 set of powder and 1 set of capsules should be enough to avoid the "pitfalls" (some people say the bacteria gets damaged in the capsulation process, some people say the stomach acid kills the bacteria in the powder). There is also debate about whether probiotics need to be refridgerated or not. I find that the powder which is vacuum-packed doesn't, but the non-vacuumed packed capsules do. Who knows?
I felt better after a few days on both probiotics and aloe vera. Hope this helps, All the best!
He doesn't state that probiotics are usless! He basically says that you have to know what your buying and he's also pushing his own probiotics. Go figure. Knocking yet selling!

"However, I recommend to ALL my new patients that they start on a bottle of the current high quality probiotic supplement we have in our office." As for the aloe you have to "Watch". If too much is taken it will act as a laxative which you don't want. Go to your local health food store for this, not the A&P or wallmart. Some of the health shops in my area are owned by pharmacists and that's always a good thing. Don't ask the check out girl, but ask to speak with a manager or shop owner as for which brand of aloe would be good for your current "Condition". It's usually a couple of caps a day and NO more. As for a brobiotic. Metagenics is the best as far as supplements. It's the one that the doctors order from. They're truly the BEST! Ask your doc. Also, PB8 is good as well. (Probiotic) you have to do your homework on this. Go to the health food store and browse, ask questions. Hope this helps.

How much Aloe Vera did you drink per day. How long did it take until you saw some relief?
thanks!
Hi, I was diagnosed with gastritis as well as inflammation of the colon after intense antibiotic treatment. Pro biotics and aloe vera juice saved my stomach- and I can eat again!
Antibiotics aren't specific and kill both the bad and good bacteria (ie the ones that help you digest things and it also regulates the eco system of your internal organs). Therefore, it is importnant to replace the good bacteria via probiotics (which is the good bacteria found in you) after antibiotc trteatment. Aloe vera is a natural anti-inflammatory so it is said that it eases the inflammation of your stomach (gastritis). Definitely recommended, I tried all the traditional medicines but they didn't work- aloe vera and pro biotics did. I hope you get better soon.
