Novox after Prednisone-How long?

10 year old maltese (on July 5th), has patella luxation in both back knees. I've been giving him that Glyco-flex 2 for a couple of years. So now he's limping, won't go up and down stairs. Every once in a while I would give him 1/2 of a Prednisone ....last time was a few days ago. Now I have his Novox.  will it hurt him to start him on Novox so close to taking Prednisone?

It is a very effective product for pets. You can use this medicine for your pets for  pain, mobility improvement. It requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It should be given with food and keep plenty of water available for your pets.

Thanks, Karla.  I've been giving him the 1/2 75 mg Novox for about 3 days.  He's still walking crooked.   He's got Pat Lux in both back knees. :-(

There needs to be at least a 3 day (5 is better) wash out phase before starting any NSAID drug after Pred......The reason is it can cause severe stomach problems......Karla
