Black Pepper helps with Ticks?

I want to check this out. My dog gets Ticks here in the jungle. I was told to sprinkle a little black pepper into her food to repel the ticks.  For now, she sits patiently while I clean her w a tweezers every day. Should I try this black pepper idea?

I'm don't want to use poison. But if regular table black pepper will be bad for my dog, I won't use that either.  Thanks though!

I would try Advantix instead, it always works for my dog.
