Dog Acting Anxious

Hello, for about the past 3 weeks my dog Griffin has been acting weird.
Male, 12 years old, Doberman kelpie cross, is up to date with all his shots and is not sterilised.

He has lost some weight and looks skinny to me, I know he is getting older but he has always been fit and a calm peaceful dog. To me he seems to be anxious a lot of the time and seems like he always wants something, I try giving him food, water, walks, pats and attention but nothing is working.

He can't seem to settle down or doesn't want to be inside the house any more and always wants to sleep outside in his kennel. He seems to always want to come inside but then wants to go strait back outside. It makes me worry because its becoming winter now and it gets cold outside and is raining a lot, the coldest it gets here is like 3 degrees.

I have had him since he was a pup and it makes me very sad to see him like this. I added a photo of him taken about 4 months ago. Is their anything I should do? I can't really afford to take him to the vet, is their something I just don't know about? Please I would be very grateful for some advise.

Your dog sounds like he is in pain to me, because of his age he really needs to see a vet.  Maybe you can borrow the money, please try to help him.  Good Luck.

I would suggest getting a checkup for him at the vet. It could be anything. If he can't seem to get comfortable, he could be dealing with arthritis or something.

You say he's lost weight. Is he still eating his food? Is he throwing up?

Hopefully you can find the $ to get him to the vet. I would think they could point you in the right direction toward treating whatever's going on with him.
