My Dog Has A Red Area With a Clearish Scab On It.

My Lhasa Apso is 7 years old & he has a red area on his elbow that has a clearish (has a yellow tint) scab on it. It looks wet but it isn’t oozing anything..

I am freaking out but don’t want to take him to the vet just for them to tell me it’s nothing when it looks like something.

I wouldn't freak out an it sounds like it is trying to heal.  Some dogs chew.  Your dog may have gotten a hot spot and chewed it or an injury of some sort.  If it's not hot to the touch, oozing or making the dog uncomfortable, I'd let it be and if it is still there next time you go to the vet, show it to them.  good luck

Id recommend still going to the vet. My dog recently died. She was 1.5 yo. One of her symptoms was she had a scab on her back elbow and  after she cleaned it it literally spread to her toes, mouth and made her elbow completely covered. Within hours/days. Vets thought valley fever but test was negative and they didnt even know what or why she declined so quickly. It literally spread like wildfire affecting her liver, making her blind, weak, lethargic, within 3 days it affected her heart, lungs and chest by fluid buildup. We didnt realize something was really wrong until a week before we put her down. That's how bad it was. So needless to say if it just popped up id take your dog to the vet asap.
