My Shih Tzu puppy has problems with drinking water.
My Shih Tzu puppy is 4 months. After he drinks water it comes out of his nose. Then it sounds like he is gasping for air. There has been times where he just seems to collapse because he cant breath. We took him to the vet and they said he had an infection. Gave him antibiotics for two weeks and nothing changed. Vet, recommended ice cubes but still my puppy seems to choke and water is coming out of his nose. Thewe ended up taking him to another vet, had x Ray's done and nothing was found. Nobody seems to tell me what is wrong with my puppy.

Has anyone investigated if he has a cleft palate?
If you are unhappy with the vet and how he/she is handling this, please do find a second opinion with a completely different vet.
Something is definitely very wrong, poor little pup. I hope he gets the right diagnosis, and the treatment he needs.
