My Sick dog (Black lab)

My baby girl is sick. She ate dinner last night, through up 3 times. I feed her chicken & rice this morning. Needless to say, she through that up. I can't get her to drink, take her mobic or glucosamine. She only drank a little after eating this morning. She's been sleeping all day. She's 12 yrs. old & usually just sleeps most of the time anyways. She's had surgery on both ACL'S, one 5 ys. ago & he left back leg 3 yrs. ago. She now suffers with arthritis in her front left leg, and really struggles to walk now. Just don't know what I can do to get her to drink. I'm afraid she'll dehydrate. I feel so bad not knowing what's wrong with her & what I can do to make her feel better.

yes i have had alot of dogs over the years i just had the same proble about 3 weeks ago the dog might have heart worms but its hard to tell without a test but you NEED to go to the vet asap and see. the drinking might be from the heart worms exspanding the lungs and and putting pressure on the other orgains. but just keep an eye on her but they will come in waves and the bowle moment does happen frome time to time i hope i helped and dont be scared this is a shot in the dark
i hoped i helped you two have a good day

Good morning! Lucky (my dogs name) is doing much better this morning. She heard me fixing her food & came right to her bowl & ate. She's more alert this morning and herself. Hoping maybe it was just a bug or something. My daughter had her dog over on Saturday & she just informed me that she woke up to diarrhea in her house. So, maybe it's a bug or something. Anyhow, Lucky does take tramadol & mobic for arthritis. Thank you for your response.

So sorry to read your dog is Ill. I wouldn't try to force her to eat but she does need the fluid.  You have any low sodium chicken broth that you can add water to?  Sounds like you should probably give your Vet. Call.  Probably a good idea to at least get some blood work done and ask him for some meds for her discomfort.
Take care
