My dog bites me..help!

My dog has figured out all the different stores I go to in my town that she is not allowed in. I take her on walks with me and typically run my errands for the day too from grocery stores and little shops along the way, even the corner stores. Everytime we start to get close to any of the places where I have tied her up outside, she starts jumping up on me and grabing and biting anything she can get with her teeth. Now this is not a gentle bite either, she has broken the skin on my legs twice and tears holes in my clothes. I don't understand why she does this, she knows im coming back, always do. She is crate trained and goes in there with no problems when I go to work but only behaves like this when she has to be tied up outside when I go in somewhere. She bit me really good today and im at a loss as to why she does this and what to do. I picked up a muzzle for her today and am going to now muzzle her when we go for walks to run errands and see if I can't break her of this bad habbit. BTW...she is only 10lbs and a Chihuahuah/Terrier mix. Any suggestions or ideas on why this is happening and what I can do to correct it? Thanks!

I don't know where you live but I would never leave my dog tied up and unattended.  Someone may have kicked her or teased her for all you know.
If it were me, I would only take the dog along to places she was allowed inside and leave her home when I did errands at places she wasn't allowed

Hey! I would figure that she is doing this out of fear. Dog's don't think "Oh, we're going here, but she'll be back!" It's more like, "I know this, I had a negative experience last time, I'm uncomfortable, I'm going to tell her."

You can do the strict way and use two fingers to "correct her" like Cesar Milan. If it helps, youtube some of his stuff. Watch his show. If you are afraid of your dog, the muzzle might be needed. He suggests not to do what he does without consulting a professional.

Your dog may also need more exercise. Do you have a treadmill? So you take her on really long walks? She is a terrier and terriers have more energy than the average dog. You need to fulfill every part of your dog to have a stable dog, you know?

If you want, and you would like to know more, feel free to send me a message. I'd love to see you're little ones fear turn around.
