Renal failure in my beloved JRT

I don’t have a question but like another responder I just wanted to share an experience . My sweet baby girl was diagnosed with  chronic kidney disease in December 2017 but the vet  never did or offered to do other tests to stage it Or anything other than to prescribe a kidney diet which we tried for a while and then I decided to go to holistic route and make my own food . she tested again and her numbers were slightly better the vet told me to bring her back when she stopped eating . on the day that happened  I took her back in she had vomited and you could smell the toxins on her breath the vet gave her sub Q fluids and made me practice giving them on her so I could do at home. she was happy that day and so good at the vet.  later that night she started to go down hill  and she passed two days later she had 13 seizures in the morning and then died several hours after that .  It was the most horrible experience of my life .  I had tried to get someone to come out to the house to euthanize her but they couldn’t get here in time and there was no way in hell I was taking her back to that vet where she didn’t want to go . Perhaps I am wrong to think so but I blame the vet for not doing further tests and knowing not to give my little girl sub Q fluids I read that often times in an older animal if they are in renal failure, the sub Q fluids can throw the kidneys into complete failure and that I think is what happened in our case.  I’m not saying that her life could’ve been prolonged a whole lot but I don’t think she would’ve went quite as quickly as she did. I share this so hopefully someone might benefit from our story.
