Depends on the medication but I use Costco online pharmacy for my dogs anxiety meds they offer free shipping if your not in a rush and call in refills ahead on time plus they are very cheap. I have been a buyer for pharmaceuticals in our clinic and price shop all the time for the business, my own pets and for clients who have pets on longterm meds. Local Walmarts offer $4 generic prescriptions for certain drugs so they are good for some antibiotics and antihistamines. For compounded drugs I use a place out of Florida who with shipping is still cheaper than our local compounding pharmacies. They are a website called Your Druggist *******. and they are reputable I have a dog who takes a compounded steroid for his IBD and has never had a problem with them. I usually find that exclusive veterinary drugs are most expensive so working with your vet to find a human form or equivalent is usually cheaper. When you can't find an equivalent and your dog is going to be on something longterm it doesn't hurt to ask the vet if you can get a discount by buying in bulk say a whole bottle at a time. Vet offices may allow you to purchase a whole bottle of say 100 pills at a time from them through whatever distributor they use. Good luck!
