golden retriever hives???
6 year old golden retriever (rescued four years ago). I run home from work for lunch and she has swollen red "welts" down her back and sides...face and ears are fine. She was just shaved three weeks ago due to her history of hot spots, so they are very visible. Any ideas?
vet thinks bee stings, she must have gotten into a nest or hive. She is better after a few injections and they sent her home with Prednisone. Benadryl didn't do a thing for it.
WOW, those look like they would be severely uncomfortable for your dog. Have you changed her food lately, or added any medication for her? I'm thinking she might be allergic to something. Please take her to the vet for a full evaluation. Blessings to you and your dog - Blu
