Vetmedin & Metronidazole?

My little dog Chester has been on Vetmedin for over a year for a heart condition and has been doing great.  He had diarrhea and vomiting this morning (must have eaten something he shouldn't, he's a sneaky pup).  He's done with that, but is extremely lethargic. Drinking water, but won't eat. Doctor gave me Metronidazole 2 years ago for a tummy bout.  Does anyone know if there are any contraindications between those 2 meds?

The medications were prescribed by my vet, but at different times and I wasn't sure if they could be given together.  I went ahead and gave him the metronidazole last night and he was a different dog this morning.  He's eating, playing and and barking at the front door.  So relieved!

Do not give your dog people medication unless directed by your vet.

Also, if your dog is lethargic after a bout with diarrhea and vomiting then it must be something more than "he ate something he shouldn't"... get him to a vet immediately.
