Vomiting at 5am??

My perfectly healthy 8 month old shih tzu wakes up from a dead sleep, jumps off my bed pretty much every morning and throws up on my floor then jumps right back into bed and goes back to sleep.  It's usually nothing but stomach fluid but I just wonder why he keeps doing it.  He never vomits any other time.  I dont get it??

Good luck.  I've had this problem for 2 years now.  Almost every night.  See my other threads about what I've tried.

This is what I have to do, also. A cookie, treat, or small snack right at bedtime has solved our problem, too.    Karla

maybe try giving her a cookie right before you go to bed.

My shepherd will throw up if she has an empty tummy.... I give her a cookie around 11-12 before we head to bed and keep some in my bedside table that i will give her as soon as i wake up.... this has fixed the problem. Still though, if i forget one morning, there is a good chance that she'll throw up.

Hope that helps.

I feed him at 7:30am, noon, and between 5-7pm.  1/2-3/4 cup of dry food at each meal.  My vet said to do this until he's a year.

What time do you feed him?
