Worried about my Shih-tsu

My 8 month old Shih-tsu, has been going off of her food, she just has not been herself for a few days. Now she won't even drink anything, or eat, either, she has some diareaha, throwing up a yellow mucus, no energy. Just sleeps pretty much, We both seemed to get sick at the same time. She ate some rice for me one day, but that was all, now nothing for 2 days.  She is always so bouncy & happy & loving,  Can you pls tell me what may be wrong with her. i am a senior on pension, not a lot of money for high vet bills. She is with me all the time.

When you say you both got sick at the same time....this may be a long shot, but sometimes certain GI infections can pass from pets to humans (like salmonella for example) I'm not saying it is that, just wondering.

I know it may cost a bit but if you just read my post my dog is the same and she is only 5 months and she nearly died on the weekend as she may have come in contact with poisoning get her to a vet ASAP if you can try not to think about the money as your dog may not make it if it is posining sorry to panic you but my dog became really ill and ended up bleeding in her stomach because of this and might not make it now

Try to see if maybe she will eat some rice with chicken broth,and you could add a few pieces of boneless chicken.Is there a possibility that maybe she could have swallowed something she shouldnt have and it has upset her stomache or something is lodged inside her belly.You can also try some Gatorade to keep her hydrated.They seem to prefer Punch over any of the other kind.Does she have all of her Vaccinations?And does her stool have an unusual foul odor?Sometimes they can pick up Parvo.And it causes severe bouts of loose stool ,stomache pain,vomiting,weakness and they just seem lifeless.I will keep you two in my Prayers.And if you need to talk then please dont hesitate to contact me...,God Bless Chan
