We use Frontline Plus for both of our dogs and we've never had any problems. We like Frontline better than Advantage because it protects against both fleas and ticks. We used to use Advantage but switched years ago. I buy mine from Amazon.com (switched from JBPet.com). They seem to have the best prices.

If you have a serious flea issue in the house, you may need to bomb your home. We haven't had fleas in a long time (pre-Advantage or Frontline days) and these two dogs have never had an issue. Good luck!
