head shaking?

i have a 12 years old dachshund  very healthy  one day last week she did the head shaking thing
has anyones dog have done this and why do they do this? i found a video on you tube to show you

Well, I hope she will be okay. I hope this is yet another of the strange things dogs sometimes do! The first time my dog did a reverse sneeze I was scared witless!
Let's hope it is just a little nervous twitch she got for a moment or two. But you are doing the right thing taking her to be checked out.

Hi, I just commented on your other question about your doxie.
But seeing the example video (which you say is similar to what your dog is doing) -then I can't be sure what this is, but it does perhaps seem neurological. It was interesting how a little movement of its body caused the head shaking to stop.
I'm afraid this is beyond my own experience. The best thing would be definitely to get the vet to investigate.
