heat stroke

Hi,
What are the signs that your dog had a heat stroke?

thank u.  I already talked to the vet.  My akita seems normal now but the vet advised me to keep an eye on him and bring him in right away if anything changes.  He was out on the balcony earlier, in the shade & was able to come in & out of the house as he wanted.  I think what happened was he fell asleep and the heat got to him and when he woke up & stood up, he fell completely over on his side.  He then got up, wobbled a few more steps and fell over again and his back leg started twitching very bad.  We got some water in  and on him and put him in the bath tub for a while.  He seemed fine after that but I have never been so scared in my life.  I have my a/c in my house on like 50 degrees now just to make sure he is cool enough.  I'm freezing, but as long as he is ok, I don't care.

Please Google "Heat Stroke in Dogs" ASAP........If the description fits, please seek medical treatment Now!!  This can be fatal quickly......

Actually, don't even take the time to google.....Head to your nearest Emergency Center with your friend.....Good luck, I hope it all turns out for him/her.......Karla
