my female chiwawa
my female chiwawa just had three puppies a day ago and the two bottom breasts near her back end are swollen and hard and the puppies wont take to them is there a home remedy i could use or take her straight to the vet?
You don't want her to get mastitis. Try putting warm compresses on those teats and try to gently express some milk. Put the milk on something white and make assure it doesn't look yellow or green, etc. if not, try to hold the puppies there and try to get them to nurse, if that gets too bad and the area feels hot, the mother seems ill, get to the Vet ASAP.
