peeing in bed

i know many people say that a dog will not pee in their bed but my dog does! she has a mat and room to pee elsewhere and i take her out so if theres no solution to the peeing can anyone tell me what kind of bed i can buy thats comfy for her cause i have a fabric one but i dnt want to keep washing it after shes peed on it, any sugestions would be great tar x

thanks for your replies, shes 8-9 weeks old, i change the pillow every time she does it but im thinking i havent got all the smell away so that might be the problem.

Jaybay is so right (as usual). Have her checked out for some kind of problem. It does sound like a urinary track infection, which could also be painful to her.

First, you need to rule out a physical problem.  Your dog may have developed a urinary tract infection and simply can't control herself.  You don't mention how old she is, but older dogs often lose muscle tone and sensation, which medication can sometimes help.  Kidney failure would be something to look into as well.

If it's behavioral, you have no choice but to keep peed-on areas as clean as possible.  Carpet that routinely gets urinated on will draw the dog back time and again.  It's not the bed that is the problem here.  You have to get to the bottom of WHY your dog is urinating so much and in her own space before you can find a solution.  :-)
