post op vaginal bleeding

thursday the 24th july my 12 year old small dog had to be spayed and due to tumours, had the left hand side mammary glands removed, she is eating if I hand feed her and drinking from a syringe, but she is bleeding very dark red blood from her vaginal area, today she passed a dark clot a bit bigger than a pea, is this normal? I've got follow up wednesday with vet but should I look for any symptoms due to blood loss and if so what are they, thanks x

This may be residual bleeding  but I would definitely give your Vet a call and let him/her know in case she should be seen sooner.  If the bleeding gets heavier, the dog has a fever or seems worse I would go to the ER clinic.
Good luck and please update
